Whenever I type in 'Extract.py Static.pack' in the CMD prompt, it just opens Extract.py in the form of a notepad file, any help please?

Unfortunately no, but thanks for the help as I will do so, I appreciate the help since I can sometimes be an idiot to this stuff.

I installed python and did the command in the command prompt once again, but it still opened Extract.py in the form of a notepad file.

I ended up trying it again where the extract.py is opened through python, but instead it said "
SARCExtract v0.4 by NWPlayer123
Thanks to Kinnay and thakis
Usage: SARCExtract archive.szs"

And nothing happened to the static.pack file.

ps. the static.pack file is also in the form of a notepad file for some reason

try deleting the notepad file, redownload it and hopefully your computer will extract it as the correct filetype?

I tried redownloading it and it still didn't work.

If I were to click on the static.pack file it's opened using notepad, if you could give me the original program that is used to open it I believe it'd work, where in the case with the extract.py file I needed python for it to work.

even the static pack? ( also delete the old static.pack that turned into a notepad document. )

You can't "open" pack archives. Thats why you have SARCExtract, to extract the contents into a folder.

Then I'm a bit quite unsure why it's not working out properly, as it comes out in a file that's opened using notepad, it's basically the same situation with the extract.py but there's no real program to "open" it.

Yes, make sure your static pack is the correct size. I haven't dumped mine for 2.12 as yet, so I should probably get to that soon. ^^"
