awjeez I keep trying to fix it but for some reason the links keep expiring, when I'm fairly sure they're permanent links, should be fixed now, though.

Does anyone know how to edit the stages? Well, their .byaml files. I was editing some, changed the empty strings to null nodes, converted them back with yamlconv and packed them. But Splatoon seems to not like the null nodes because it always crashes with my edited byamls. It doesn't crash with repacking original byamls or with editing them with Splat3D. Splat3D is nice but very limited, I can't add or delete objects and some objects and attributes are missing.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.

Hey guys! I'm having some trouble with using Splathax. Everything works fine until I get to typing my IP into Splathax - it spends about a minute trying vainly to connect, but fails every time. Has anyone else experienced and/or fixed this before? I could really use some help!

PS: Also, I have previously used Splathax - to great effect - back in late 2016. I have already tested the connection on my main account today, as well as the alt I'm trying to edit the gear on, so it's definitely not the NNIDs. And just in case - my Wii U uses cable connection internet.
