As of the 2.2.0 update, wasn't anyone who had 2 as their player ID ( 2=octoling ), wasn't that value changed to 1 or 0 before they go online? ( 0= girl 1=boy , im pretty sure. it could be the other way around. )

In TCPGecko, you would change your headgear ID value to the value of the Elite Octoling Goggles. The value for it is on a previous page.

Yeah I used the program in the op and I know it's the one (double checked many times) because it says the manufacturer is Nintendo

I had a lot of troubles with this as well so I can't remember everything I did to get it working. Try downloading the TCPgecko for the Homebrew Launcher and use loadiine.ovh to launch it with the option "TCPGecko Installer + Kernel". Then try the octoling.py again. If that doesn't work, try "TCPGecko + Kernel" again. Not much else I can think of to do. Hope this helps.
