So, I'm surprised there's no Splatoon Hype Thread! It will be released today!
I guess I got too used to 3ds forums and their hype thread in the past

So, who got the game? Are you excited?
I'd love to meet more people willing to play the game!

A little hyped. Although the design is nice and the gameplay seems a lot of fun, I´m a little worried that lagged matches destroy most of the multiplayer (like in Smash, where I always have at least 1 sec of input lag). Maybe this time the matchmaking is good and I won´t end up playing only with people from Australia and Japan...

There's no lag I noticed, and I've mainly been playing with Japanese people (since it's the only country where it's officially out).

Playing the 'Story Mode' and chapter 1 of 27 was tedious as hell.

Edit: Tried the offline GamePad Vs. WUPC and the framerate seemed to have dropped.. it felt slow and somewhat sluggish.

Splatoon can be described as "Wait till the DLC content is released for the full experience".

Right now what people are playing are like an unlimited version of the beta with 2-5 maps. The Single Player is pretty mediocre too.

I'm Hyped for it, not "OMFG I MUST HAVE THIS" kind of hype but like "i've been watching this game for awhile now and i really want to play it" kind of hype

You guys shouldn't spend $60 on this it's just not worth it at that point, for $40? Definitely it would've like it is in Europe.

It bugs the hell out of me that the game isn't 40$ but i thoroughly enjoyed what i played in the Global Test Fire so i'll bite at 60$

Get ready to play 1 map (it does have 5 maps but from personal experience I was stuck to the same freaking map for all my gametime) and lots of grinding.

Since I got it today and its lifespan is really shortening as I play it. The best time to play Splatoon is when they'll release the damn DLC content which should've been included, or just delay the game until it'd be ready.

For all the bashing that CoD gets at least it has a lot of maps and modes something that Splatoon doesn't.

Ranked mode seems to have other interesting modes, but will only unlock when there are enough players at level 10 to play them

Hm, no. I got the game yesterday and already am on level 6 but with maps only changing every 2-4hrs I'm not very interested to go back to it.

Oh there is lag. the game uses over 60kbytes/sec upload. I dont know why 8 players causes the large upload.
medal of honor heros 2 on wii with 16 playeres did not use that much
