Hello guys, I got a question. I was thinking lately about if I could be able to finally play Splatoon 2/3 Online via Emunand without getting banned... We are able to play Splatoon 1 on the Wii U still, also without getting banned. The switch is still the latest console and I think the banning rate is still high, but isn't there any custom server or possibility to play online?

Thanks

For Splatoon 2 it's generally considered safe to edit your save (Splathex is no longer updated but you can do it manually), going online with CFW with visual mods is semi-safe but using CFW to hack during a match can result in a ban if you're reported which you likely will be. Splatoon 3 is a hard no-go, some people have connected to the server while on CFW (this was almost a year ago) and they were okay just connecting, but it will automatically ban you if you edit your save or hack at all during gameplay. Client-side mods are okay but only offline, imo unless you're a modder it's better to just never run CFW on Splatoon 3 for safety.

Ryujinx runs custom server (LDN) games for both two and three, the emulator plays both games well so that's your best option if you're looking to do multiplayer without NSO.

Depends on your setup and if you own the game.
If you own the game, you can play on a clean online nand (so no nsp/xci installs or other weird stuff) in cfw without any problem to use things like sysdvr with splatoon.
If you don't own the game, you can't play any switch game online via official ways.
But there are tools to play games with local lan/wireless mode online.

Besides that what was mentioned already about moding ingame should also be kept into consideration if you play online via official means and what to use mods.

So no normal online gaming for both games then, so no Splatoon 2 by not owning the game? How does that local lan mode works? is that kinda a bypass to play normal online?

No
I mean unless you want to get banned, no « normal online » for any game really, if you have a game you don't own installed (or even a forwarder or something, I'm not too sure but I wouldn't try it)

https://www.lan-play.com doesn't seem to work on my end but it's the place. There's also xlink kai which I prefer but there's nobody, I used it to play with friends and it worked flawlessly

What people mean by « local mode » is that there's a way to have your console using the LAN mode or the wireless mode to actually play through the internet on a 3rd party server. When a game has LAN, you can even use it on an unmodded console (which is neat if you want to play with friends who didn't mod), wireless is CFW only because it requires running a sysmodule to trick the wireless-part into actually connecting through the server you want. You need a PC to do all that stuff tho, but it works.

Pretty hard to explain without lan-play working, idk if it's permanent or not. If you can access the website you'll have all you need, info about how it works, how to setup, what games it works on etc.

This is a link to the Discord server Switch Lan Play, if the website still doesn't work you may be able to get all you need there

So sysdvr doesn't get you banned when playing online?
Can you tell me a little bit more about your experience using it? Should I take any steps to prevent a ban while using sysdvr?

My Switch doesn't dock so I've been playing games offline w/ incognito + sysdvr, but I really want to play something online with sysdvr.

Nope, stuff like sysdvr or sys-clk doesn't get you banned, only things like installing nsps/xcis of any kind, cheating in online games, or negatively affecting online play in any other way gets you banned.
Just make sure when using the online nand (most of the time sysnand) with CFW, that stuff like prodinfo blanking is NOT active for it.
Also make sure to not accidentally install anything to it (if you also have an emunand you could for example set one of them to light and the other to dark mode) and make sure to not accidentally load mods for games that aren't safe for online use

You can do local lan/wireless play with other people or use the something like ldn_mitm to play lan over the internet with them, but yeah, no online play with not owned games without getting banned quickly.
Also sorry, I missed your reply ^^'
