Valve's source filmmaker has been released to the public. This tool allows the user to create and edit videos with the source 3D engine.
This release is a working beta. Valve has opened a steam community where SFM users can share their videos here. Valve is also going to release the "Meet the Engineer" episode in addition to the "Meet the Heavy" for people to edit.
The source filmmaker can be downloaded on Steam.

Finally! I've signed up for the beta since day one, and still didn't get an invite.

I was downloading it last night but something fucked up and I have to redownload it again.

Really eager to try this tool though, it looks to have a lot of potential.

Wow! That's great news, I've had it for about a week already but I can't wait to see what others make with it, I'm still trying to learn the program myself.

With everyone getting their hands on the program, I'm looking forward to some awesome fan made productions... and dreading the tidal wave of crap.

I got an invite to the beta yesterday and hit the delete button. I am not interested in making my own movie.

Both funny, although the second video looks more like Gmod than SFM.
    Cool story bro.

That's because it is made in Gmod, hell the tags in the video even labels it as such.

I know; I was dispelling the possibility that it was posted as a showcase of SFM's capabilities.
