Nintendo designed the Wii remote for 5 years and sony is designing it for like what? 1 year?

The wii remote is quite crap though.. or are people satisfied with that level of motion control and ready to leave it at that, even with motion plus there's much more to be wanted with this motion technology, don't tell me people want full fledged mind control gaming peripherals already. It's not like nintendo are the only people allowed to make motion controllers lol, what's with this unoriginal and not doing something new crap, they're already pushing this technology quite far.

maybe they made it to please the fans and will change it accordingly. It wont be a big peripheral like the wii has made it but just a fun factor for those who want it

perhaps there will be some sony disciples around who will buy this peripheral and let it become famous. i think the ps3 users aren't as conservative as the xbox owners concerning the gameplaytechniques and will welcome it till a descent grade. the success of e.g eye toy could is a sign for the will to accept also new gameplaytechniques.
