Seems like the Motion Controller works with the eyetoy tracking the light in the tip of the control.. they are showing it in a controlled, closed environment.. I wonder if it would work really anywhere..

And indeed.. what Microsoft showed was way ahead of this..

If it has buttons and you could connect a nunchuck to it then sure.

Sony are all out of ideas, they do nothing but rip off everyone else. I want them to do better, not because I'll own a PS3 (so far I never will) but if they're better then Microsoft & Nintendo will HAVE to do better. I want the competition to be fierce, I want everyone on top of their game and to be honest, Sony are past it. Nintendo has a brighter future then Sony.

The one great idea that Sony had was created because of a partnership with Nintendo.

It would be nice if the competition was fierce, as weak as the Wii hardware is the fact that MS and Sony have chosen to bring out their own version of the control scheme shows that they got the controls right with regards to what people want. Sony would really have to halve the cost of the PS3 before they could really be considered as competition. If the price point was the same as the Wii or the 360 more poeple might choose it.

Can't see that happening fast mate mainly due to the fact it contains a Blu-Ray drive and they aint really cheap even as a standalone for a half decent one

I expected more from God of War 3, just looks the same as the PS2 games to me but prettier.

Half the price Sony and I'll buy a PS3 just for The Last Guardian.

Yeah I don't see it happening either. It's the one thing that really does set it above the 360, but the cost it adds to it stops it competing properly.

im just surprised no1 jumped on stage and smacked them up for that remark . then again there were probably anticipating that. Probably why the stressed that the demo was on the Floor with more than 20 min of play

The Last Guardian and Uncharted 2 looked amazing, but nothing else made me think I need to have a PS3. At least they showed alot of games though. Not all that keen on the PSP Go, it looks ok folded up but opened it looks like a dodgy Chinese portable media player.

Sony's conference was... interesting. A couple of games peaked my interest. Uncharted actually made me think of buying a PS3. All I was thinking was "show another game like this and I'll buy a PS3." IMO they didn't. GOW3 looks cool but like Hadrian said it just looks like a pretty GOW2. I remembered the last trailer blowing me away. This not soo much. The modracer looked really cool. I wish that was on Wii. But I'm not gonna buy a console for it. The last guardian was cool too but i need to see more cuz I don't feel the want factor.

Oh and Sony's eye is a joke. I was literally laughing my ass off when people were clapping for it. I mean seriously it was just two Wii motion plus. Nintendo had showed the same stuff over a year ago and less then two hours before it. Come on Sony. Your late to this, just give up on motion controls unless you can do something unique like Natal.
