Since the Sony NGP will use game carts, do you think there is a possibility that a flash cart be made for the system, or is Sony too smart for that?

It would be interesting to see one

    what do you think?

I believe thet we'll have a software hack...

I'm pretty sure that sony knows the fact that nintendo's game carts sales suffer from flash cards.....
So they must have taken protection about that... [IMG]

I predict another softmodded handheld. The more it can do besides games, the more possibilities for hacking. Since the DS phat/lite only played game cartridges, they had to be hacked through game cartridges. If the NGP can look at photos in any format, that's an extra possibility. If it can play multiple music formats, another possibility. Videos, PDFs, etc etc etc.

But so long as they leave it open in all the right ways, it won't have hackers. (See what once was PS3's OtherOS)

Flashcart for NGP? I think it's going to happen, not soon, but when they will send what the NGP want to hear it will happen.

I'd personally want a softmod rather than a flashcart....but I think Sony will learn from their mistakes with the PSP and PS3....I hope

I agree... on the whole I prefer softmodding though I'm not entirely sure why.

Maybe because softmodding means you don't have to keep a particular device in at all times, or in some cases, have to buy a specialised device at all? Though I had to buy a pandora battery for my PSP, I like the fact it was modded that way rather than having to buy a dedicated device that I had to keep in.

    This.
It'd rather not pay, and it's too much trouble buying and managing flashcarts when instead the system itself could be the flashcart.
