Hello! I'm interested in getting a PSP so I can make a fairly large retro handheld console. I was wondering if I should buy the PSP Go, which has a AMAZING deal at the moment, or is it better to find a PSP 1000?

I found a PSP 1001, are they the same?

Anyways, which one is better for a Retro emulator hacking. PSP GO or PSP 1000?

I'd go with the Go. The Phat does have some homebrew advantages but the large majority of users don't take advantage of those. If you want it for emulation, official games, and some other homebrew, the Go will be more than enough.

Alright so I see two people have posted! I think I will go with the Go! (No pun intended.) I really hope this deal lasts for a while since I can't buy it atm.

Its fun, I like it, even tho I'm not a big harry potter fan. Like a wizard rpg. Flying around on a broomstick is cool.

Nuh just takes a min to get used to. I think you can upgrade or buy new broomstick also that are better.
