Rather than make a new topic, as it's been dumped now. First of all, works fine on Gateway in case anyone is still wondering.
Onto the game itself now. I've played three levels & one Special stage.
Special world, just wtf. What were they thinking? Gyro controls only on Special stage and the sensitivity so low that you pretty much have to stand up and spin around with the 3ds to have any chance of collecting everything. Just because there is a gyro, does not mean it has to be used. Special stage would have been fine with standard controls.
3DS version retains the cutscenes, but they are horribly compressed

. I guess they wanted to save costs, but would have benefited from being on a 4GB card and not compressing so much.
Levels themselves. First two were 3D, third was 2D. 2D level seemed to play much like any other recent Sonic game.
3D levels are weird, on some of the parts, especially the bits where the levels spiral, it feels more like you are rotating the world, rather than moving sonic. It's really odd.
3D is quite awful as well. I normally use it on most of my games, even if at a minimal level, but I just can't do it on this. Speed+Spinning+3D=
