Has anyone else here had a bug where Sonic's acceleration will not increase?
He just runs at the starting speed and never gets any faster. I tried the hack on GPGX
and also Kega Fusion to see if this was emulator-related and ran into the same issue.

I have searched for this on the web and cannot find any information on the bug.

A year later, guess no one else has had this problem. It works fine on the executable for windows it comes with but when patching the rom and using Retroarch on the Genesis Plus GX Wide core, just seems Sonic can fully accelerate, he's just limited to walking. I really wonder what's causing the issue.

Dumping the ROM while it is running in the emulator RAM may help. The executable is probably ASM patching it on load.

Simplify please, I don’t think I can do that on a phone. It’s impossible to make Sonic go faster, I tried 3 different emulators and it still didn’t work. Any simple advice?

The Wii version fixes the analog problem, Sonic runs at full speed with no problems. here’s the link
