Going to school? Working? Getting a family? Exercizing? Cleaning? Socializing? Sex?
All ignored. 🤎
And I don't even know why.

Distant wars in far away countries? Hypothetical future disaster scenarios? Some obscure wierd niche genre of music that nobody cares about? Constant invocations of God?

The center of all attention. 🤎
And I bloody don't know why either.

Sometimes I wish things would make a bit more sense. I can't even explain this behaviour and what makes me have these particular priorities, there is no explainable reason for it. I just do it automatically like a robot.

Anyway, I guess its autism. Some readers here will probably be inclined to agree. You may have similar wierd decision making that is unexplainable. It can be quite annoying.

You can't help your special interests, and you can't help your hyperfocus. If you could choose and/or control your special interest and hyperfocus that would be fucking awesome. But it's a roll of the dice. You go "how about we focus on something useful" and the brain goes "nope, how about we focus on trains" and there's nothing you can do about it.

I really liked trains as a kid. I think I still prefer it over other kinds of transportation.

I spread myself a bit thin in 2021, and now I'm still paying for it. I work almost full-time, and eventhough it's part-time hours each day (6 to 7 working hours), I work 5 days a week... So it feels like it's a full time job.

AND THEN...

I didn't intend on my Etsy store being so successful, so that's another nearly full-time job I have here at home, with a kick-ass 3D printer that pretty-much runs non-stop to fulfill my Etsy orders. (That's only going to get worse as I launch my next product line soon, yippee!)

And with all that, I have two amazing cats to care for with feeding, litter changes, etc...

THEN I have all the house chores I don't always get to right away that I drag my feet on, due to Executive Dysfunction and burnout from working so much.
Including, but not limited to:

  • Taking the trash out (which accumulates pretty fast) which is about a 130 yard walk to the dumpster
  • washing my dishes
  • washing my laundry
  • keeping my kitchen clean
  • sweeping up debris and cat hair
  • vacuuming the carpets
  • keeping my computer desk tidy
  • keeping my soldering desk tidy
  • keeping my retro games organized (I play them a lot, so it's always in disarray.)
  • making my bed
Between my Autism, Executive Dysfunction, Clinical Depression, perpetual Burnout, and Oppositional Defiance Disorder, I'm a mess.
