I've been confused for about an hour trying to view the strings i need to edit. Or I just don't know what i'm doing. This is what I keep getting:

How'd you manage to get all the numbers to display as letters?

Start from scratch:
1) File -> Open File for Editing, select your script file
2) File -> Open Table File -> Table #2, select your sjis.tbl file (find one online if you don't already have it)
3) Ctrl+D to swap between table files
