Hacking Some games make Wii go back to system menu

I am using USBLoader GX with Waninkokos cIOS (249 and 250) v5 and Hermes cIOS (202, 222 and 223) v17 installed per the competesoftmodguide. And so far both Wii Sports Resort and Red Steel 2 just make the Wii go back to the system menu when launched while other games like House of the Dead 2, Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros all play fine. Now I modded everything the same way on a friends Wii and those games played fine. I did notice that both games that won't play do require the motionplus. I have not played a game with it but my friend has. What can I do to get those games to run?

From my experiences, the system resetting back to the System Menu usually means a missing IOS that the game needs to start.

I may be wrong though. I haven't had issues like this in a good while.

those two games in particular [res steel 2 and wii sports resort] have a mandatory instructional video it has to play on your system once.

look in the options for the "alt dol" option.

change it to use the "player.dol", run the game and the video should play.
when done, change it back to the default settings.

you only need to do it once and both games should run like normal.
