Hi

I just got myself a PS4 Pro and updated it to 5.05.

I have successfully installed a few games. Two of them load with no problem. One of them seem to load now and then, if it doesn't want to load, it will hang on the "splash screen" (the first image that pops up as you open a game).

I tried playing my legit physical copy of The Last Guardian. I noticed it took quite some time for it to move on past the splash screen. I have dumped this game, but it seems to be stuck at splash screen with no interest of progressing.

I have tried in both HEN and Mira+HEN mode. The PS4 is not frozen. I can jump back and forth in menus, close apps and re-open them, but some games will not load/loads insanely slow.

What am I doing wrong, or missing?

@Pokepicker sounds like a badly dumped/installed pkg (used Mira hen to install and vtx hen to play?)

But the disc not loading.... that’s odd...

I stick to purely VTXHEN 1.6 and experience no issues.

I'm using the Al-Azif self hosted solution. It has one button called "HEN" and one "Mira+HEN". Do you happen to know if "HEN" is the xvortex version, or do you have a recommended payload?

I will do some more testing regarding install (and play) methods (HEN/Mira+HEN and so on).

Yes. That's vtxhen (vortexhen) . Mira+Hen is garbage. It's extremely buggy. Stick to the regular HEN payload

Update
I deleted the (package) installation of The last Guardian -> restarted console -> Insert the disc -> Open browser to enable HEN 1.6 (Using Al-Azif self hosted solution) -> Run the Dumper (making a brand new dump) -> Opened GENGP4 and built a GP4 -> Opened orbis-pub-gen -> Checked Command-Project Setting to make sure the passcode was all "0"'s -> Hit build.

I go back to the PS4 -> Enable HEN again -> Enter Debug menu in Settings to install the game with Package Installer -> Game installs fine -> Will not load past the splash screen (image of a lonely boy in some ruins).

Edit: The game seemingly works fine if I only use the disc. So I'm guessing the issue is arising somewhere in my dumping process, or while making the pkg.

Edit2: I included the log from orbis-pub-gen.

Before that, did you deleted the installation of the legit TLG?

If you did, retry to install the fpkg (delete and reinstall). If it still doesn't work, try with another title. If you can't create any fpkg at all, check your tools, check your methodology, check your HW last (faulty disks?).

I deleted any previous installations before installing the dumped version.
I will try dumping a other game just to see if that works. Will be back with an update.

Ok.

I tried dumping 2Dark. It has the same problem.
I checked the md5 of the tools I'm using.
gengp4.exe - CBBB5C7C6944F33886262D8F8C27EC97
orbis-pug-gen - 6F5E8D5EEBBFED82C39976D9AC12D4E6
ps4-dumper-vtx.bin (1.8) BFB682C1734292CFCE1628FB9C711986

Edit: The log included a couple posts up note an error regarding boot.elf being stripped, while it should not be? Got the same error while working on the 2Dark files.

That's a warning, and if stripped means what I think it means (executable stripped of its debug symbols), it's the thing you would expect in a released version.

I have dumped and created a few fpkgs at the time the JB for 4.05 appeared and looking at the continuous stream of scene releases (https://www.xrel.to/console-playstation-release-list.html) I'm pretty sure your inability to create working fake signed packages it's linked to one of the things I mentioned above...
