I rececently saw a cable that would allow you to install a wii modchip without soldering, but I forgot what it's called. Does anyone know what it's called? Also, would itwork with a cyclowiz?

Wlip. Yes, it works with PICs (YAOSM, WiiFree), WiiKey, Wiinja Deluxe and CycloWiz.

But for CycloWiz you would have to do an hole in your Wii case to put a switch for update (I got a WiiKey for this reason... who the hell wants a hole in their Wii?)

You still have to solder the chip to the wlip. This is not a solderless install.
Yeah, but it's uber-safe

The worst that could happen is that you ruin the modchip and/or the Wlip.

And it's effectively solderless for the Wii, as you don't have to solder anything on the Wii itself

you dont have to drill a hole.

anyways, i heard if you get a wlip only wiinja and 8 pin PICs fit into it. any other modchip you still have to solder. so i dont see the point of that o_o.
spending like $40 for something that isn't completely sodlerless, then having to spend another $20 on soldering supplies or $40 paying a professional to do it for you. not counting the cost of the chip itself.

it's not that hard to solder a chip into your Wii.

Ive tried a long wire install. Didn't work (Maybe be curse i used wires from an old Gameboy link cable

Then i tried the quicksolder method and it works PERFECTLY
