Hmm i can't start super smash bros anymore? Says update must be downloaded wtf?? I use dns to block nintendo
Anything you can do about it?
Other then updating that is.

What Firmware are you on?
Did you install ans SSB update when yes which one? (There are some FW spoofing ones)
A screen shot of the message would be nice.

One more advice: If you need help PLEASE give as much informations as you can!
We know that you know what happened but we don't know how ;) So if you don't give enough informations it is very hard to help you!

The message is very general. Im sure you people that use the switch have gotten it before. A message asking you to update the software before starting it.
Im on FW 6.2.
Im probably using super smash 1.1.

There are different messages with different options on the switch.
But you are not entirely sure what version you are running....so i'am out ;)
I could speculate more but i use my time for a nice game now.

Im now sure the problem is with the dump is just "Base" game. no patch.
Still wasnt sure why a base game would need a patch though

At one time I had 1.2 installed. but i packed it onto my second HDD. So deleted the NSP update i installed. (I use 2 HDD's to play smash bros)

One hdd = base game no patch
Other hdd= game+1.21 patch+DLC.

So i was told it has to do with your savegame, to ensure compatibillity.

If I wouldve sticked to just base game this behaviour probably wouldnt happen.

You installed a game that updated the version database on your switch. Load up dev menu and reset the version required for the game
