Hacking SoftReset is invalid

I really need the RTSave for a game I'm playing, but it keeps giving me the error when I try to enable it.
Is it a firmware problem? I haven't been able to find a proper firmware upgrade in ages. I suppose I'm a bit a noob at it as I don't even know what I'm using.. Basically the one that showed up on top when googling for "m3 DS real firmware"..
I tried WoodYS but it doesn't even seem to have a RTsave option.

The game I'm trying to play is 4963 - Medarot DS - Kabuto Version.

I even tried emulators, but none of those want to continue on my save file.

i do believe that emu files need to be the correct size, saved as RAW, and then perhaps converted for your flash kit.
