Hacking Softmodding a Wii :)

Hi! I'm going to softmod my friend's Wii for him and I have just a few questions first

1. If I took his Wii and updated it and then started installing Homebrew Channel and all that, will he still be able to enter Wii Shop Channel?

2. If I don't select to install News and Weather Channel when using ModMii will he lose them? He already has them, so I don't see the point installing them from Modmii

3. What are really the risks of bricking a Wii? If I just follow the guides here on the temp nothing should go wrong, right?

1. Yes he will still be able to enter the shop channel

2. No he won't lose them if you don't select them. ModMii doesn't remove anything.

3. If you are using ModMii and answer the questions it ask in the wizard then you should be fine and bricking it will be minimal to non existent. Just follow the guide it generates.
