to the OP, have you tried ebay? a quick search came up with games starting at $20 shipped.

Buy a mod chip wiikeys are like ten bucks and if you dont want to solder it will be like fifty. Either way its cheaper than import games and you will always have a backup plan for loading discs then you can update from a disc, although many jap releases are scrubbed meaning no updates...im curious can you replace update files on a disc, for example replace a stub witha cIOS and have the disc install it for you? Maybe that would be a new way to softmod with a modchip??
