Hacking softmod noob

hey i just got a 2nd wii and im gonna work on softmodding it, so first question is, is there a way to install hbc or any other wads in that case w/o a copy of zelda game? also this wii is on 3.0u i believe, what are some IOS that id be recommended to install? is custom IOS a good idea? and is gamma the best hbl atm?

Without Zelda or Modchip? - No.

Gamma is the best. It will be reccomended you upgrade to 3.2 (or downgrade, if you were wrong about it being 3.0) and yes you need a retail copy of Zelda to install HBC

not even if my other wii is modded? some way to put hbc on sd card through modded wii than transfer to unmodded?

not unless you move your actual mod chip onto his drive or move your drive into his and use a backup copy of Zelda

By your questions its safe to assume you dont have a copy. Your best bet is to rent it assuming you dont have a friend with a copy to borrow it from.
