I would just like to say sorry in advance as the update will not be out until tomorrow due to an unforseen delay.

Please check the website as of tomorrow afternoon as you should be able to download all custom themes from there and also upload any you may have done.

I've got to ask being the noob that I am. We all downgraded to 3.2 to make this work. How do I upgrade back to 3.4U and then install this? Can I just use the system update to do this and start over with the install of 2.0.1?

why would you want to upgrade?

Why not? Don't you want to have the latest and greatest firmware also if you can? Weren't there a couple games you couldn't play online without the 3.4 firmware?

there is nothing new and great in the latest sys menu which you cant get on a lower version. for newer games you may need to install the newer IOS's, however there is really no need to go to 3.4. all things such as shop channel, new mii channel, etc etc can be done on lower ver. and you can install the IOS's without having to upgrade your sys menu version.

Actually, the Sd card read/write speed on 3.4 is a hellva lot faster. World of Goo (320 blocks) can be copied in like 15 seconds to your SD card, it takes at around 10 minutes with older firmware. This is probably a precursor to Nintendo's upcoming SD storage solution update coming this Spring.

So how would I upgrade to the newer firmware? Just use the system update? I wasn't sure if that would work due to the fact that I had to downgrade to 3.2

Dr . Temma - You said something similar last time about it, so just don't use it.

Feel free to use what you want but don't use SoftMii.

Also - If you feel you can do better, please do and then release it.

Well, if Softmii 2.0 can work fully with no problems in 3.4, then why wouldn't you update? As far as I know, just updating your Wii like regular would be just fine. However, I'm no expert. So ask someone more experienced. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

Edit: Can you really install Softmii 2.0 with all its features under 3.4? If so, how? I thought you absolutely had to be under or at 3.2 to have the backup loading and preloader and all that other stuff.

I'm probably going to update the Softmii starting from Phase 3 of the instructions, but I would like to know how to update to 3.4 from 3.2 if someone can help explain how to.

SoftMii does not currenly support 3.4 - you have to downgrade using the method provided in the pack.

We are currently in the process of implementing support to 3.4 so people can benefit from the updated features and once complete we will advise you all to upgrade to 3.4 by the method we will provide.

Hope this clears up a few things.

P.S. = Alex Rose - You need to do a lot of reading if you can even think to compare this to BootMii
