Hi, I have a Wii that came with Softchip Loader when I bought it...everything seemed to work fine..then all of a sudden when it launches it dumps a bunch of numbers on the screen...this seemed to have happened after I try to run a backup copy of Lego Indiana Jones..something might be messed up with this as there was no channel logo or anything when it tries to read the disc initially.

Since then I havne't been able to get it to work. I have installed Wii Gator launcher gamma 0.3 instead now but I still prefer SoftChip loader as it seem to provide more compatibility including Super Smash Bros. I've been trying to find the files to try to reinstall it...but having quite ahard time finding Softchip Loader stuff...I did find some files posted as Softchip V44....so I put change the file to boot.dol...ran a cIOS wad file with wad manager...then ran the softchip V44 wad....after that it seemed to have installed.. but I still have the same problem when I try to run the program with it dumping a page of numbers.

Anyone had this problem before? Am I installing this correctly?

Thanks for your help

Yes, I had this problem and I tried many things, one of which made it work:
- reformate the SD card using SD Formatter v2.0
- reboot the Wii
- try reinstalling the cIOS

Since I just installed Wiigator 0.3Gamma and used the cIOS install with it...is this the most updated one? Do I still need to reinstall cIOS with a WAD file? What WAD should I use?

Use an installer as everybody else does for the cIOS. The original one still is up to date and is still working fine.

I don't know why, but when I try to play online Mario Kart or AC:CF with softchip r75 I get a error, but when I use gamma it works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas as of why?

You mean the games work fine, but the online modus in both games isn't working?

Can someone help me with the cIOS thing? I've ran a cIOS installer which downloaded the cIOS I think by Waninkoko..I also see some WAD file that's called cIOS..how's that different if installed with WAD manager?

Also, what's the difference of WAD Manager and WAD installer / uninstaller? Do they all just do the same thing?

Thanks

What exactly is your problem with the cIOS? Does it work or not?

About wads: Just use WAD Manager and don't care about the other 2 applications.

Sorry for all the questions.. I am new to this stuff. Anyway...I am trying to understand how to install cIOS....I think I already did? I have ran a app called cIOS installer that came with Wiigator's backup launcher....that downloaded some stuff online and then installed it....

I also have files for Softchip loader which I am trying to reinstall again since it stopped working. According to the posting.. there is this WAD file called cIOS249-IOS36-rev07.wad ....so should I run this wad file with wad manager? Then rename the softchip.dol file to boot.dol and run the softchip wad file for the channel?

I think I've tried that before.. and still it dumps a bunch of numbers when I try to launch a game with softchip loader.

Why do you want to do this with wads? Just start SoftChip from the Homebrew Channel and set it to IOS249. If you can't select IOS249, you still need to install it. If IOS249 is installed and it says: IOS249 (Revison 7), everything is as it should. To install the cIOS, just use the installer in the Gamma package.

Yeah that's what I mean, Single player mode works just fine with the softchip. Only when I try to go online I get error code. I'm using a wired usb internet adapter if that matters.

I am not trying particularly to install the wad cios..I thought that's what i need to do. how can you tell what cIOS is installed? When I run Wiigator it does say 249...

So if I ran the wad file for softchip loader.. it should install the channel and worrk right? I know I've done that before but still it dumps a bunch of numbers when I run softchip loader....wonder why

think its same problem we had with the Rockband instruments, the USB used IOS37... not sure what the network adapter uses... but that would cause it not to work for online.

Hi folks! I am trying to recompile Softchip R75 and put it into a Wad in order to create a channel. Does anyone has banner image, icon image, icon logo and sound for it ?

Hey guys. Love softchip. I'm just wondering though, is it normal for only dvd-rs to work? I cannot for the life of me get +rs to work. They're verbs btw.

Also, what about dual layer discs?

new problem with softchip loader...I had one working before then it dumps a bunch of numbers when I run it. Just reinstalled a copy of r44 I found on here....every disc I tried to run it says "error opening partition" any ideas?
