Hacking SoftChip Backup Loader

I currently have COD5 PAL version and only using it on 0.1 loaders. The NTSC apparently works on 0.3 but as far as I know not on Softchip. The new 250 cIOS would hopefully fix this or the new Gamma loader.

I havn't tried to convert my PAL version to NTSC but I think I recall someone trying this on QOS PAL version and it never worked. So I won't waste a disc. I just hope someone comes out soon or I can get a NTSC dump online but all there seems to be is PAL dumps.

Also just to add. Despite the game being payable on 0.1 loaders, it's a little crappy due to loading and choppiness on cutscenes. I also noticed textures taking ages to load in properly, so instead you had blurry textures until the proper texture loaded. I think on the retail version or 0.3 due to the better compatibility fixes this, it looks like in the videos I have seen or the retail and 0.3 loader running the game, it doesn't do this. Maybe I am wrong but it would make sense.

I have asked him for it but he wasn't too sure about sending it. I suggested he find some way to upload it to a torrent site then I could find it, but not sure if he has or will. Until then I'm stuck with 0.1.

i think patched games does not works ._.
i tried with metroid 3 and it works, but doors takes some time to open, same reason as wiigator loader...

so..in this loader patched games doesn't work..
pff.. then i will need to buy MORE DVDS >_

Sorox I don't think it does yet. I think it's still what your console region is set to, you need the same region games. The new cIOS will allow any region. At least I think this is what Arm meant. Maybe r41 does allow cross region, hmmm.

I tried it out and it has the settings for using either disc settings or system settings. I thought this was for setting video or something.

It uses the region your console is set for on default.

It's done that for a while now, I get PAL mode normally on Gamma but NTSC-U normally on SoftChip.

So Arm, if I used Any Region Changer to change my disc region, then I can use Softchip to play any region game. Or can I just set it to read the region from the disc and it will automatically work on the correct region for that game?

when some of us gonna understand that this is a work in process , and trying to use it for now is good for testing only to help the process instead of trying to rush the programmers or the process by nagging about games not working though we all now that they are doing there best to get it done . so thanks on behalf of all the hard working crew to all supporters and thanks for the useful input about game glitches .

i tried softchip in one of the way earlier releases, i think it was 16 or 17? - it didnt work, so i said whatever, i'll wait.. just tried ay again, used noob's wad pack, everything installed just fine, 0.3b still works, but softchip still does not work for me. using 1:1 backups, getting error opening partition.
