And I can't use oothax or ninjhax because I don't have these games, what do I do? I am on the latest 10.6 sysNAND(Yes, I fucked up by mistake, I know). I have a N3DS. Is there a chance someone could bypass the Browserhax fix?
The best and most cost-effective solution is to have a hard mod installed. You can downgrade and use both CFW AND homebrew, and it will cost you less than the price of Cubic Ninja or Sky3DS. OOT might be marginally cheaper, but will only allow you to access homebrew (no CFW).

With oot he would need a way to install the exploit to it so he would need a 3ds with hb access or buy a powrsave so it doesn't really cost less

You don't need homebrew access to downgrade from 10.6 with a hardmod. Once he's on 9.2 he can use browserhax to access hbl and setup CFW.

Edit - sorry I've just re-read and realised you were saying OOT wouldn't be cheaper than hard mod due to the need to access another 3ds to set it up.

Thanks mate. The only reason I haven't hardmodded my n3ds yet is because I'm afraid of ruining it. My uncle's soldering iron is a bit high powered, you know. I mean, he's good with it and I trust him but it would be a shame if something went wrong. However, I would be grateful if you gave me a link to a guide.

I don't know of a written guide, but there's an excellent video on YouTube of a NAND mod installation and 3dbrew has the NAND pinout a for every model of 3ds (and 2ds). If you're not confident your soldering skills and aren't sure if your iron is suitable, it would be better to pay for someone experienced to install it for you. It's not that expensive.

Do you know the video's title? Sorry for bothering.

Has it actually been confirmed that a hardmod can be used to downgrade 10.6?
