The layout is horrendous. The SSD needs to lay the width of the PCB, and the SD card part should be on a ribbon so it can be tucked neatly against the back of the Switch 2. That would allow the PCB to be put into a shell and sit flush against the back of the Switch 2. And going with a smaller PCB that supports 2822 NVMe would probably be best, to cut down on the overall bulk. There's TONS of wasted space and horrible design layout on that PCB.
