Hacking So confused...

I have an XBOX 360 Slim and an XBOX one. I wanted to hack them to be able to play emulators and games off of a HDD. From what I read, there isn't a way to do this one the one, but SEVERAL ways to do this with the 360. Which is the best? Do they all require a mod chip or can I just do a soft mod and be able to do what I want? I have a wii where I have done this, but it was very simple. There are so many ways and I'm not sure which one to use.

with the xbox 360 you have to hardmod it, sadly there is no softmod and probably never will be due to microsoft really securing the console.

You'll have to get your console RGH'd.
It's a process which you have to solder in a modchip and solder wires to tiny points on the board.

Take it to a modshop if you can't solder.
