So close to getting my netbook!

I'm not sure how much tax Amazon charges, but that's still around 415 dollars + tax. (If I just get the netbook and extra RAM)

I guess I could just get the netbook and get the RAM later. I don't really know how well it will run with 1 Gb or RAM though. Most reviewers say they added the extra RAM before doing anything else.

1GB RAM is perfectly fine for XP...if you want to put Vista on it put in 2 GB
Even the 701 could run XP just fine wit 512 mb of RAM

Take the 1000HE! It has a better processor, a bigger battery (8700 mAh vs. 6600 mAh) and a better keyboard + bluetooth and wlan n
this is worthmuch more than any 8 GB SD card (why would you need one? you have 160 GB of HDD space...and those get cheaper every day) and some RAM ( which also gets cheaper every day)

How exactly is the keyboard "better"? Also, I don't really care about bluetooth. But yeah, there's a good chance I'll go for the HE.

I don't really see why you need that extra RAM, unless you'll be doing something with it other than simple email, chatting, ect. and playing some old games. (my netbook can run HL2 on low settings with 1GB ram very smoothly).
