Forgive my noobishness on this subject. It's been a while since i was last in a position to look this up.

As simply as possible, seeing that I've since given away my last PSP go system in exchange for a Pseudo Saturn cart, i still have an archive of PSP games that I've stored and archived, when i still had working PSP units to put them on. I remember reading way back about when multiman on ps3 could somehow support loading of PSP iso's and ps classic titles, but i was never in a position to try it before. Now, I would kind of need to, to be able to still play those games at all. Problem is, I don't know how. Some sites make it sound like all i would have to do is drag and drop or FTP the games over, but I want to be sure before i start or test this out.

Just to be clear, I'm asking for both native PSP games, that could be on either iso, cso, or eboot files, as well as PSClassic games that are likely all eboots if memory serves correctly. It's been a while since I've really fiddled and tinkered with this stuff, and i would like to try and get this going.

Ps3 in question is an early slim on rebug 4.84, if that matters for context.

Option 1:
- Copy the backups to dev_hdd0/PSPISO/*.iso (isos only, you must extract them if you have cso/jso/dax/eboot.pbp/whatever) (you can also use an external drive if you really want to)
- Install a PSP Launcher of your choice (https://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=247)
- Use a *man homebrew to mount the iso, then run the launcher

Note that compatibility is quite low (no support for raw sector reads and weird virtual memory stick implementation are the main causes but there are at least 5 more)

Option 2:
- Convert iso to PS3 pkg using PSP2PS3 (included in aldostools), that way you get to work with the emulator configuration which helps with some titles but still not great, install the individual converted games

And no, PS1 games converted to PSP eboots are a different kind of eboot than PSP titles
Pretty much every unofficial PS1 eboot also uses PCM audio, which the PS3's ps1_netemu doesn't support (neither does the PSP without the cdda_enabler plugin); making PS1 Classics with the proper ATRAC3 audio is a fairly annoying (but well rewarding) manual process, however if you want to use a *man homebrew to mount games might as well use the superior format for that purpose (cue + nonsplit bin; also img+ccd in newest webman mod) directly :)
