I really like vibestar's FCEU/Snes9x channels, and MythosXe's VBA channel to match, but with the FCEU channel being animated, it's kind of boring to have the other two not be, so I've started work on an animated banner for the Snes9x channel (as well as replacing the sound loop, it was much too loud). The banner was 100% made from scratch by me, the icon is still the original icon, but I changed the logo image (for consistency's sake, as it was the only one of the 3 that didn't have the text logo in the icon).

[Edit] I have completed what will be the final version of this channel. The logo now pops out of the egg with Yoshi and Mario rides Yoshi off screen.

Last edited by qwertymodo,
I already have all of the Mario animation frames ready to go (and they're actually packed in the wad already... just not using them yet

Hmm... hadn't thought of that. I'll have to try it out and see how it looks (hooray for Wikipedia's .svg logos

where do i click to download?

and have you stuck this in a opening.bnr for a disc yet? i havent found a decent channel animation that also works in a iso banner.

I hadn't uploaded the wad yet because I wasn't done with it yet, but I suppose I could upload it and then just upload a new version as I improve it. Also, isn't opening.bnr just the 000000.app, or does it require something specific in order to work in an iso? I've never converted a wad banner to iso banner (but I have done it the other way around...)

Edit: Added the download link in the OP

Looking forward to the DL link, im sure this one not released yet cause its not finished. But qwertymodo did you have a dl link for your SMB3 remake in vibestars thread? I Couldnt find one there either

EDIT: Beaten to it, haha!

The d/l link for the FCEU channel was actually in the info section on the YouTube page for the video. I'm too lazy to go re-find it atm, but if you start the video and then click on the YT logo in the lower-right corner of the video it'll take you to the page and you can get the link from there.

when i made the video, i just had some random banner i had grabbed from somewhere that really sucked and the dude that made it put his name in the banner like he had actually helped make the emulator. yours looks much better than his.

have you looked at your banner in 16x9 mode? it looks like the ground mario is standing on is missing a little something-something

Heh, woops. Nope I hadn't tried it in 16x9 mode. Should be an easy fix though as long as Mario's starting co-ordinates don't need to be adjusted as well... I'll get it fixed and post up an update.

Edit: Yay, Mario still starts off-screen like he should, so I literally just need to change a single 0 to a 1 in the layout

Edit2: Dangit... the WidescreenAffected flag doesn't seem to be working. I'll have to look into it some more.

Edit3: K, fixed it. It was just 1 single 00 switched 01, just the wrong one. I'm uploading a fixed version now.
