Hopefully the retroarch core will follow closely behind.

I did not see that coming, but I'm glad to see this still being worked on, definitely my favorite Snes emulator :P That list of changes is impressive.

Yeah, unlike genesis emulators. As much as I like Kega Fusion, i wish they did update it to least run games over 5MB so people can do rom hacks with bigger size like Pier solar or that one mortal kombat hack. :ninja:

I haven't used Fusion in years, Genesis Plus GX is actually technically more accurate. Snes9x is pretty much on par with Higan, without the convoluted UI or system requirements; aside from a few games that use dot-based rendering vs scanline-based rendering, the diff is negligible.

Liking the improvements here, happy to see this still being updated, and hopefully it stays like that for a while.

I know, i been using genesis plus gx on my wii u since it allows for gamepad support. But i kinda hate having to switch systems from pc just to use a "factually technically" more advance emulator with better accuracy. If they had that on windows, I would be happy. But I kinda wish they did update kega fusion as well since I been accustomed to it for so long. :)

It's got a new logo :toot:

Genesis Plus works fine on PC via RetroArch and BizHawk, not sure what the issue is *shrug*. Fusion is dead, Steve Snake isn't working on it.

I don't use Retro arch and there is no way to use it without that. That's my problem personally.

It hasn't been ported to other platforms before? :wtf:

    Edit: Never mind.

Then use BizHawk, it has a Windows interface and has the Genesis Plus core as part of it, I fail to see what the issue is with using that instead. Extract BizHawk, load ROM,
pick Genesis core, how is that complicated? So much unjustified RetroArch hatred on here, if neither are what you want, then you're on your own. Don't say I didn't try to offer suggestions.
Don't tell me you never heard of BizHawk?

He means expect all the different ports to be getting updated to this new version.

So start using it then. You expect people to update old emulators just because you refuse to use new and better solutions?

    1. I don't expect anyone to do anything
    2. "New and Better" according to you, according to me, I prefer stand alone emulators and not using retro arch, no thanks.
    3. I was sharing a personal thought of mine. I wasn't expecting anything to be done bout it.
And I been fine using what I have available without any problems or resorting to retroarch. I simply wanted to express a thought of mine.

Then use BizHawk, how many times must I suggest this ad nauseum? It has a GTK/Windows UI, it has Genesis Plus GX as a libretro core. Use it. If not, then
stop complaining about Genesis Plus not being available and integrate it into your own emulators or contact Steve Snake and beg him to release the source code. This is about Snes9x anyway.
Do I need to make a video on how to use BizHawk's Genesis core? Beggars can't be choosers. RetroArch and BizHawk are all you have for Genesis Plus on PC, period.

No, its not my opinion. Compared to Kega it is definitively better. Better renderers, better sound libraries, better emulation accuracy, better controller support and configuration, better latency. Its not always the case that retroarch cores are better than the standalone emulators. However it this case it is better in every respect.

Same with BizHawk, as it integrates the Genesis Plus core, but I digress. Gonna be recording some footage from Snes9x now for my YT :P People are hardset in their anti-RA rhetoric.

And it works for you, that is fine. It doesn't mean is better for me.

I'll look into Bizhawk. I've never heard of it before, which is odd as I'm pretty into messing emulation. Been setting up an old PC with Launchbox/Bigbox.

So despite being on a technical and usability level superior in every respect its not better, gotchya. You're one of the change is bad brigade.
