Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Known bugs: - Toggling the sound OFF hangs the emulator. - Saves are not working. SD will be prioritized. - When you launch the emulator from USB, and there is a SD card inserted without the Z-GX folder structure present, it will DSI crash. - 12 seconds pause before the game starts booting, affects build 20260811B. - Cover files do not load when you start the emulator from a USB device, yet it will load them if a SD card with the files is inserted before emulator launch. Homebrew Emulator Snes9x GX stopped recognizing roms

Snes9x GX 4.5.2 suddenly started giving me "unknown file" out of the blue. My roms are good since they've been working for days now. I tried everything I could think of (change names, file formats, compressed, uncompressed...) and looked everywhere for a solution but can't find anything.
Hope you guys can help.

Have you tried a fresh reinstall of Snes9xGX 4.5.2? If yes, try installing 4.5.1 to see if the problem persists. Also try installing Snes9xTX 1.0.6, to confirm wether or not the problem is isolated to GX.
