So, I injected Shin Megami Tensei II and Earthbound into Virtual console .cias. Problem is, they won't work.
But, I found out that SNES is not supported on the old 2DS. Which is a bummer. But there's one thing;
I downloaded a copy of Hong Kong 79, which already came in a .cia. For those of you which are not enlightened, HK97 is a Super Famicom bootleg made by some Japanese dude to shit on China.
I installed this as a joke. It boots up fine. Which begs the question:
WHY does Earthbound and SMTII not work while this piece of shit bootleg does???
I think maybe because o2ds does support SFC on the VC, but not SNES??? But then why does SMTII not work? As far as I know, it never came out in America, so it IS a SFC title and not a SNES one. Problem is, I can't find SFC injectors, only SNES injectors. So I can't test this. Yes, I know that SFC and SNES are basically the same console, but it appears that in the 2ds it differentiates between the two VCs. HK97's splash screen on the top screen showed the SFC, while SMTII and Earthbound shows the SNES.
