Is it possible to use a Wii Pro Controller on a NES/SNES mini?

I bought a generic controller from ebay but it doesnt seem to be working....

Official licensed controllers, yeah is possible, probably better too. The home button can return you to the menu instead of needing to press reset on the console. (Probably why the cord is so short, you keep it close by)

i have on of those knockoffs too. one of the buttons (and left i think) work as circle button.

interesting is, that my wii arcade stick behaves exactly the same.

I tried all of the face buttons, triggers, analogs, etc. and didnt notice any of them working. Honestly I dont see why a generic controller wouldnt work, its not like the official ones have any special firmware/software on them do they?

I also ordered once some shitty cheap controller from amazon that did not work straight ahead. But you can do the fix by soldering 2x 2.2k resistor into it. It is described here and worked for me:

If this is too much hassle you can just order these controllers from this seller. They worked straight ahead without problems. They are mega cheap and quality is ok for the price.

edit: You need of cource the custom Kernel (simply use Hakchi2 CE) and clovercon mod (automatically installs with custom Kernel).
