Ok, smashdude u caught me in a good mood, so I am going to help u give the right information so we can help (I'm helping u, help others, so they can help u, lol), if u choose to ignore my tip, don't expect help

first off, no such thing as a PC rom, roms can be played on any number of emulators, whether it be on your PC, your Wii, your psp, or your xbox.

The roms are specific to a console, there are nes roms, snes roms etc. So you can play snes roms on the wii, the pc, psp, etc. The roms are the same regardless of how u r running them

you need to tell people what system the rom u have is for... frogger alone doesn't tell us anything

Generally speaking, most emulators have a folder saved on the root of the device (named the same as the name of the emulator), inside this folder will be another folder called roms and/or saves. Roms get put in the rom folder (who woulda thunk it?).

Some emulators allow u to browse your drive for the rom, in which case they can be saved anywhere u like

above all else, F***ing search!! I've been following these forums for a LOOOONG time, and I haven't seen anyone else ask so many pointless questions... its getting to the point where people are seriously starting to question whether u are acting ignorant on purpose

I am playing the ROMS on my Wii. So I cannot stick in Frogger (a COMMODRE 64 emulator) ionto my SENS emulator folder? I have the directories right and all. Here is what my question has been all day long. Why won't the Commodre 64 emulator read my Frogger directory? I put the game under "images" just like they told me to. And if that does not work can I stick the game in another emulator directory? I am playing all of the emulators on my Wii (I have about 8 of them).

@Xflak

This guy's attittude is making him infamous. I mean, I think instead of been hated he is getting funny. If he leaves gbatemp I think I going to miss him. Btw after analyzing how many topics he posts day by day he will have in about 5 or 6 months more posts than anyone else could have in 2 or 3 years.

ps: I wonder why his obssession with Frogger, is it a really good game? The only time I saw that game was at a Computer's convention displaying classic pc accesories and one of them was this game.

Burton you promised you would help me too man. I have researched but have received nothing out of it. Please help. I do not know what to do with this Commodre 64 emulator in order to get it to read Frogger.

Btw have you ever tried wii64 emulator? What confuses me is that this topic says "snes emu prob." and you ask for Frogger which I think is a ninty 64 game and talk about commodore 64 (Is commodore64 a wii emu or a pc emu?) not sure.

One thing is for sure ninty 64 emu are in beta stage so most games aren't compatible atm. I don't know if Frogger works because I personally do not emulate 64 on my wii. Try downloading wii64, it may work with Frogger.

Well I'm off to bed. Good night everyone! (If it is evening at your country

)

If you actually tried searching you would have found your answer. The first result in a google search tells you where to put the roms for the C64 emulator Frodo.

This thread is seriously laughable that being said.

If my understanding is correct...

Emulators must be developed for the Wii.
You cannot just take a PC emulator and stick it inside your Wii and expect it to work. Programs are specialized. They're either made to work for the PC or the Wii.

Long ago, when the data from SNES games was "dumped"---> turned into DATA (1's and 0's) the format was ( NameHere.SMC ) --> Chrono Trigger.SMC (ETC)

Emulators must be designed and specialized to work with a given architecture. a PC emulator
would have to be ported for use with the Wii (Essentially, it would have to be re-written).

That being said, I find it highly unlikely that you will make use of any of the above information.

In addition, emulators, are full of bugs and glitches. Bugs and Glitches are what happen when you attempt to re-create a gaming[system] purely on software that depends on DIFFERENT hardware.

Do not assume that something is ever 100% working. Your logic, apparently, has been like someone smoking a cigarette in bed, forgetting about it, then setting his house on fire and burning to death.

I hereby promise, not to ever promise, to help you with anything.

Sincerely

Ok then how do I set up DVDX after soft-modding my Wii? Do I need to download a DIFFERENT boot.elf, private, and bootmii folder?

smashdude smashdude smashdude... what are we going to do with u...

dvdx can be installed via the hackmii installer, u should by now at least know how to launch that

most mediaplayers like mplayer_ce and wiimc now use cIOS202, so u should research how to install cIOS202v5[57]
