When on the "Advanced" page, I see SAVE SRAM. What does this mean?

I tapped it and nothing happened.

Well, no. My question was meant to be "What is SRAM" but I added other things in. Sorry.

What is SRAM?

It's a save type for games that originally allowed for progress to be recorded and stored in the cartridge. In such a title, after you save in-game you need to use that SRAM option to write the save to your card. Otherwise your progress will be lost when you power down.

Oh, thats why my items were gone... -.-

I have been playing A Link to The Past again (SNES version of course). I couldn't find my GBA version I used to have.

I have been relying on the "Save State" and "Load State" because when I saved the game and started it up later, I didn't even have the first two levels done... -.-

So I save in-game and then click "Save SRAM" and I don't need to rely on the "Save State" for saving anymore?
