I have the same problem with a clean 4.2 NAND.
I copied the shared2 folder from my real Nand over
and Wiimote works for me now coz i do not have to resync.

Does someone know wich file exactly holds the Wiimote sync data?
I'd like to keep my NAND as CLEAN as possible.

I don't really know what kind of process are you using to obtain the NAND dump, but I really prefer to use BootMii/Boot2 + ShowMiiWads. The data, as you might know, will be exactly the same as the real NAND. Later, you can use that program with the ShowMiiNand mode to install or delete any title. That works for me.

I'm using ShowMiiWads to build a System Menu from scratch...

I'm creating a Folder named NAND...
Create the 8 Folders (sys, ticket, title, shared1, shared2, ...

And "install" following wads into the nand folder with ShowMiiWads...

1. It will be the same, because you can use ShowMiiWads to manually delete any pirated WAD's or IOS (commonly cIOS) from the unencrypted dump from your Wii and then, install the newest versions of the official IOSes, channels and System Menu using WAD's downloaded with NUSD. Plus, you'll already have the dump configured. At least I do think that (as I don't use Priiloader on the real NAND, there's no need to mess with the 'title' folder... And the NAND is being emulated. What's that interest on using a clean dump? Tell me, because I don't get it).
2. Regarding the question you made before, the file SYSCONF from the 'shared2\sys' folder is the one that is related to the WiiMote connection.

In case anyone wants to use SM 4.3U with SNEEK+DI (along with its default game changing menu and disc region
free hack), take a look at this video. And in its comment section, you could see the modified part of SMenu.c
(for adding case statement = 513 and the offsets for disc region free hack) file taken from ES folder of r102 of SNEEK in
the googlecode repository. Enjoy.

Does the Mario Kart Channel Work for someone with sneek?

I install it via disc and nothing...
I install it via ShowMiiWads, after booting the Wii it's there but if i put the MarioKart disc in Drive it says "Update".
After that it's gone again...

And for those who want to use SM 4.3E with SNEEK+DI the statement should be like this:

CODEcase 514:
{ÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂ//Disc Region free hackÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ
ÂÂÂÂ*(u32*)0x0137DE28 = 0x4800001C;
ÂÂÂÂ*(u32*)0x0137E67C = 0x60000000;

ÂÂÂÂFBSizeÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ= 320*480*4;

ÂÂÂÂreturn 1;
} break;

Have any of you had any lucky getting wiiexplorer or wiimc working with sneek? I have those working and softchip will read games and play them too in sneek. I was wondering if any one else was experimenting with the sneek nand?

I'm repairing a bricked wii with no nand backup (well actually, it *had* a backup, it was just a very, very broken one
biggrin.gif
)

...sneek loads up great (thank god!) but is there any way to install wads to the actual nand via sneek.... or to convert the nand filetree on my SD card to a nand.bin file that i can 'restore' through bootmii (after putting it through betwiin to make it compatible?

Any help hugely appreciated!

If you can access bootmii then why not just use cboot2 and wad manager to repair the nand??

I tried loading comex nand formatter / cBoot2.... but when I booted them from the SD card it'd start the load process but tank with the message below repeated ad nauseam:

fat_driver: disk init failed
Please insert SD card.
Failed to load boot.dol from front SD card reader.
sdio_Startup() rv = 0

I tried with two different brand SD cards (that both work fine for all other homebrew) both correctly formatted, and then googled for a solution to it for hours.... no joy

hey sangor,

Do you use sneek alot? If so, what is the reason, in sneek, that the cios wont operate correctly? I can use and old version rev9 and it works. Was just wondering i like experimenting with the wii and different apps in sneek.

well thanks for reading my ramblings

I'd like to ask three questions and sorry for my bad English.

Q1: I installed SNEEK+DI on my two TF-1G cards(one Kingston, one SanDisk) and I got two results.
If boot SNEEK by Bootmii boot2, it will be successful.
If boot SNEEK by Bootmii IOS, it won't be successful. Just get a blackscreen on TV and Wii Drive's blue light flashing.

Q2: Can't the SNEEK menu open up in Wii System of JPN version? Why?

Q3: If I plugged two USB-HDD at the same time on Wii, SNEEK+DI won't be launched and blackscreen.

Thanks !!

Assuming your nand is 4.2J try adding the following code in SMenu.c right after: //Patches and SNEEK Menu and compile SNEEK again.

CODEcase 480:
{
ÂÂÂÂ//Disc Region free hack
ÂÂÂÂ*(u32*)0x0137D09C = 0x4800001C;
ÂÂÂÂ*(u32*)0x0137D8F0 = 0x60000000;

ÂÂÂÂFBSizeÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ= 304*480*4;

ÂÂÂÂreturn 1;ÂÂÂÂ
} break;

Didn't try the code myself. I don't have a 4.2J nand backup.
