the precompiled dip is useless unless you have a game in the folder that is hard-coded into that module. i think its SMNP or SMNE.

/games/SMNE/part.bin
/games/SMNE/cert.bin
/games/SMNE/tmd.bin
/games/SMNE/ticket.bin

is the default game entry.
There seems to be an Ioctl (0x23) to switch the game slot.

Isn't it also precompiled with *(u32*)(bufout) = 0x00000002;

Setting region = EUR

???

Can anyone help me here, I've been trying to load Sneek for the last week or so, I have followed many tutorials and the closest I've got is Prii-loader telling me "error autoboot system menu! - could not get TMD!

It's also telling me that I have ios v70
systemmenu v0

I have followed this Guide and I've updated to 4.2 system menu PAL and followed this Guide for Sneek install

Any Help is welcome and thanks in advance.

delete priiloader off the sneek nand and put the system menu like it is meant to be

Cheers Giantpune, I followed this and got it working

QUOTEHow do I remove preloader from my dump
1) navigate to /title/00000001/00000002/content (this is the sysmenu folder)
2) there should be a file in there called 100000xx.app (xx depends on systemmenu) this is effectively main.dol of the system menu
3) delete 000000xx.app (this is effectively preloader.dol)
4) rename 100000xx.app to 000000xx.app (swap the leading 1 for a 0)

I got the USB game loading to work but I could not use the precompiled modules from the SNEEK site. Maybe because the di module was precompiled with the region code set to EUR and I have a US Wii...?

I had to make the source changes that giantpune listed (I used r33) and recompile the es, fs, and di modules. Also as giantpune mentioned you must use the new elfins that comes with r28 and later to make boot2.bin from the es and fs modules, and to make di.bin from the di module. Setup the game folder per Sangor's and giantpune's directions also.

You'll know that it's working when your game shows up in the disc channel!

I think that SNEEK is the single most significant development in Wii hacking since Hackmii/HBC/BootMii, and it's getting better. This is great work by crediar!

All that's needed now is

1. a way to change what game is displayed on the disk channel
2. a way of putting larger games on the hard drive (MPT + SSBB) and other formats(NTFS/WBFS)
3. and will it work with other formats (.WBFS Iso ciso)

There are still bugs to be ironed out I think. USB device compatibility may be an issue. I've loaded two games off of my 4GB Patriot Dash flash drive but when I tried to run it off of my Seagate FreeAgent 320GB HD the first game froze . It showed in the disc channel but went to black screen when I started it. I've had a couple of random freezes when playing off of the flash drive too.

I've never seen this before. I read on the sneek homepage that this redirects all nand access to a sd card. How does this benefit the end-user?

Is there a website where I can learn more about this?

In short, this makes your SD card, your wii's nand.

Pros:
100% brick proof wii. Freedom to install anything without worry.
Switch between entire NANDs by swaping cards.
Expanded NAND size from 512MBytes to the size of your card.
Able to easily take all of your Wii's content with you to another Wii.

Cons:
If your wii has alot of content, it will load slow.
Some cIOS don't work.

Does backup loading work from emulated NAND?
If yes, how?
you can have a dump with cioscorp installed and a drive that reads backups then the disk channel in sneek will play backup disks

Other ways?
Does any of the backuplaunchers work?
cIOS doesn't work well with sneek so backup launchers don't work properly if it's virtual nand you might a s well install cIOSCORP

NeoGamma and CFG can launch disc backups in SNEEK with cIOS rev18. Disc launching with NeoGamma also works with cIOS rev19 but CFG seems to hang on rev 19.
