in my case, when i select a game, my pointer disappears and the disc channel keeps loading and loading and wont stop. only when im fast enough, i can click on the disc channel and it still keeps loading and loading (note: i'm not sure anymore, but if i remember correctly it says that the disc cannot be read after a long time. i cannot reproduce the problem alot, since when i restart the wii, i can't select a new game. the pointer disappears again after 1-2 seconds and the disc channel is loading again. so it's just an unsure memory of mine.)
my drive used to work perfectly, but suddenly the black boot and the disc problem appeared after a while. reformatting the drive and rebuilding the nand helped me only for a short time.

i can't test anything anymore, because my drive is dead.

(that was before r144)

Hello Guys and Gals,

Let me share with you my workaround with Uneek+DI, as for Sneek+DI, didn't had any issues ever since but Uneek+DI gave me black screens before, removing the font.bin works but no menu of course. My workaround to make it work is to delete the SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION FOLDERS and empty RECYBLE BIN (the hidden one within the USB HDD), you must show hidden files and untick the hide operating system files for the SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION FOLDERS and RECYBLE BIN system file appears then just delete it. I don't why but works for me all the time whenever I get black screen using Uneek+DI, hope this helps.

PS:

I'm using 4.0U NAND of my Wii.

That sounds pretty odd, afaik 'System Volume Information' folders are only created on NTFS volumes, sure the '$RECYCLE.BIN' can be on any type but I don't see how those could affect SNEEK at all.

Sadly only a USBGecko log could really tell what's wrong...

no disc it says please insert disc even after seleting game from di menu

anyone else having this problem?
the problem could be you're renaming your game folders. with r143+ DI module reads from diconfig.bin for the title id of a game and then uses that as the folder name for the game. Try renaming your folder names back to the games' title IDs and see if that remedies it.

@ SanGor

Yeah it's odd but works for me all the time, like I said, I don't know whether it was related or not but that was the workaround for me whenever I get black screen with Uneek+DI, no harm in trying for those having a hard-time for Uneek+DI to work.

I can totally comfirm this...plus...

There's this wired green-glitch screen when I try to access the settings for di.

I believe this is the result of the titles.txt code being added to the svn, v143.

I tried this guys hack a while back and got the same result when I added it to v142 sneek. When I went back to just plain v142, no problems.

For now I'm going back to v142 and I suggest you all do too until this sorted out. Whatevers in his code, it's messing with sneeks di ability.

I think this needs to be added to the bug list.

I have a problem with SNEEK DI. I cant get it to work. SNEEK only works fine, but with DI plugin I just get nothing, even no black screen, just no video signal.

I used latest SNEEK and r125 with a virgin 4.2E NAND backup, but the same results.

Here is my Gecko Output:

With font.bin present, the same result.
@SanGor: I think SNEEK Installer should patch everything needed for DI. I just built SNEEK DI and let SNEEK Installer install the files on SD card.

You mean just the ID6 or the disc's title+ID6?

just ID6
like for metroid prime 3 NTSC use:
RM3E01

for the folder name

That did the trick! Thank you! A little annoying now I won't know what game is in what folder but that's ok. Titles.txt doesn't seem to be working for me either, placed it in the games folder which is where the sneek source seemed to be looking for it

hm, there could be a problem with the encoding of the file. Upload it and I'll take a look. Also, it just occurred to me that it could be inconvenient to have to have your folders named a certain way. Perhaps I'll add a modification to save the folder name in diconfig.bin so that you don't have to worry about that.
