.
I just did what you guys told me.
copied slot.bin renamed it to region.bin.
Opened hex editor and changed the last one from 0 to 1.

Filestructure for SNEEK DI:
[snip]

----------------------------------------------------------------
Filestructure for SNEEK:

sd:\bootmii\ppcboot.bin
[snip]

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Filestructure for UNEEK
:

sd:\bootmii\ppcboot.bin
[snip]

Do you mean sd:\bootmii\ppcboot.elf ?
Is there a reason that you include for SNEEK & UNEEK, but not SNEEK DI ?
Thought is was no longer needed.

IIRC you haven't needed ppcboot.elf for a while. Also, r79 is out and works with 4.2u by default, so there's no need to replace main.c with the download.

Changelog said something about GC disc support too. Prolly should look into that.

nice, thanks for the info, definetly going to recompile now with new source.

I can take down the main.c now as it is not needed.

Anyone actually tried R79 with 4.2U? Seems the menu doesn't quite come up. It just hangs there, with the top right corner saying "EUR". Everything worked fine with the earlier customised main.c.

Any help?

trying it now

EDIT:

bah, I got to update my sneek nand to 4.2U before I can report.

Also, installing python doesn't add the environment variable for the python path.
To fix this I added 1 step. (this is why armboot doesnt compile correctly for most)

Compiling SNEEK:
now type in the command prompt:
cd sneek
hit enter
your command prompt should now read
c:\sneek>
Now enter this to the command prompt to permanently set the environment variable for the all users:
setx Path %path%;C:\python26 -m

Now type in the command prompt
build_boot2.cmd
wait patiently and if all goes well you should have your SNEEK2 files in the c:\sneek folder

How large does font.bin have to be?

I'm still getting errors in SNEEK+DI even though SNEEK works, I've tried multiple SD cards. I'm on 4.2 and have the exact FS as suggested in the OP, including font.bin and region.bin in their respective folders.

With my 4.2 US Nand, SNEEK + DI works with customized main.c. I've downloaded the rev 79 and recompiled the boot2_di and di.bin and I just get a black screen

Finally, I got it run with a pure nand, cheers ! (^o^)

I think the reason of hang with non-stop flash just because of the CIOS in real dump...

It works fun ! (^o^)

How did you setup a working pure NAND? I tried the following and it just blackscreens forever instead of the supposed 5 minutes; After ejecting the card I see it created some files, yet it had not booted. I'm going to try a pure NAND using only SNEEK (I tried pure NAND with SNEEK+DI and it creates files then freezes).

QUOTE1. Systemmenu, e.g. v290 is 3.2E (get from NUSD)
2. Systemmenu IOS (non-STUB) (must be the one required by 1 above, e.g. IOS30 for 3.2) (get from NUSD)
3. setting.txt (placed in SD:/title/00000001/00000002/data/setting.txt) (must match region of systemmenu) (get from a NAND dump)
NOTE: with this set up it:
WILL give you a black screen for up to five minutes before it goes to first time set up.
WILL give you a black screen for up to five minutes between the health screen and showing you the system menu.
This is for the first time only. After that it will be fast.

I used 4.2U/IOS70.

Just tried using only the SysMenu42U/IOS70 & settings.txt in SNEEK r80. After 5 minutes nothing happened so I reset it. It boots to first time setup, then blackscreens for 5 minutes and goes to SysMenu. Swapped SNEEK boot2.bin with SNEEK+DI boot2.bin and di.bin. Still blackscreen.
