Hardware smiley face not appearing help

i followed this video tutorial i have a non-CFW new 3ds xl but the smiley face at 16:49 does not appear help please i followed step by step

I'm not going to watch a video for hours to find out what steps they give up to that point. But I can read a guide in 2 minutes to figure out what you're up to, plus many people are familiar with it already so they can help without having to spend any time watching or reading - there's a large pool of helpers waiting for people who get stuck on the widely-used written guides.

^ Need to check your sdmc (sd card) and make sure that .ppm file is there. That is the file that makes the smiley face appear.

In the future, don't use video guides for the 3ds.
