Hacking Small Nintendont issue

So I'm using the Mayflash 4 port gamecube adapter with nintendont. I am using an official wavebird. When I launch Smash Bros Melee, the cursor in the character/level select pulls down slightly to the right as if it is slightly miscalibrated. It doesn't effect actual gameplay and doesn't seem to effect any other game that i've tried so far. Is it possible the .ini is configured incorrectly?

This used to happen just with normal non-hacked wii's as well, its most likely a hardware issue and not a software configuration issue.
