Hacking Small Hd drive issue

Hi All,
Lame question but need clarification.
I have 2 wiis, both softmodded, the 1 with the powered usb hdd plays everything i throw at it.
The wii that has a usb powered hdd only plays some games, is the issue the lack of power, could I use a powered usb hub to resolve the issue rather than buy another hdd.

or you could buy a powered enclosure for the hdd you already have!

thanks for the reply, kind of defeats the object, may as well go and buy a powered hdd rather than an enclosure. Anybody know if powered hub with non powered hdd would work,

i'm not sure but you could buy one and see if it doesn't work return it and if it does great you saved some money on a new hdd

Just an update for all interested, a powered usb hub doesnt work.
New hdd it is.
