Hacking Slowdowns in games?

It seems like whenever I play a graphic-heavy game on my R4 it has some slow-downs. When I was playing the Sims 3 today, whenever I rotated the camera around it felt sluggish. I searched around for gameplay videos on YouTube and when they rotated the camera it was INCREDIBLY smooth. Same thing for Call of Duty. Whenever I try and look around or even move it's sluggish. Is it the R4, the MicroSD card or maybe even my DS?

Well first: What r4 version are you running?

My Acekard lags a bit on the opening screen on AC:WW. I own a legit cartridge too and I know that doesn't happen, so it might be the rom itself.

i also have a R4, and i have the same problem in sims 3, but i'm pretty sure that the cause is the microSD class (read/write speed). try a microSD with a higher class, like class 6 or class 10

Where do I find the class? My MicroSD says nothing.
