Gaming Slow Down?

Well I installed custom firmware on my psp slim awhile back, but recently when I put Crisis Core onto my memory stick, soon after starting up the psp, there would be slow down. This slow down was happens on the menu, slow down switching between things, and to load a game it takes long periods of times. Even after removing Crisis Core from my memory stick I still get this slow down. It has gotten bad enough to warrant not playing my psp anymore. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Are you using .cso's?

maybe you changed the speed settings of xmb and games? from the CFW menu?

check you CPU setting
make sure it set to 222mhz or 333mhz

Specifically, the XMB speed. Press select on the main menu and press left until the numbers are 333/166.
