Hacking Sky3DS: Worth It

Okay, so here is the deal. I have had a 3DS for a little while now, after not having it for two years. It has had lots of good games and, you know, I successfully convinced all of my friends to purchase one. Feel pretty smug about that, given it took no effort at all.

Anyway, we were all playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and all of my friends have an American 3DS well I have an import one. The problem is that Tubehax no longer works for me ever since firmware 10.1.0.27 came out about a month ago. And it annoys me a lot because the hack is permanently patched now.

So, now, all of my friends want me to play with them again, laugh at me for getting an import 3DS; the usual. This is so I can play the game again, but I do not want to buy this whole flash cart for a single game. And, I have no interest in buying more 3DS games at the moment, either.

Should I just say screw it and buy Sky3DS so I can play Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate with my friends again or wait until I get some more games first so that I have better use of the cart? Also, I heard it can play 3DS ROM files, so I suppose I could use it to test out games before I buy them, too.

Tubehax isn't patched... Open the app hold start until crashes. Open the app again and select 10.1. Also there are much more convenient hacks now like browserhax and themehax that work.

What are these other options? And, which has the most benefits? I am only aiming for a region unlock. But, if one of them allows me to play online, that would be great.

Themehax is perfect for region unlock. Hold L at boot, launch the cart from the homebrew launcher. Web browser hax is also more stable than Tubehax, and you can use it to install Themehax. Plus smea has some stuff soon to solve language and unbootable carts.

Very convient as well. Especially if you launch the game quite often.
