Hacking Sky3ds need help with 1 header, many games

Will someone who has had success "injecting" a single private header into multiple roms please describe the process they're using? About 3 quarters of the roms I've tried aren't working. The Sky3ds is working, changing games perfectly, displaying the title and audio on the top screen. But when I try to launch the game it tells me there was a problem reading the game. I've been using No Ban No Sky, as well as attempting to manually change the header inside the template.txt file.

I fear I'm missing something simple

Problem with my pc's card reader turned out to be my problem. Editing template.txt with my private header details and leaving everything else alone was enough to get 100 percent success rate when using a sd=>usb adapter.

Whether or not this will keep me safe from a ban or not is still unclear. Will only play online games on my 2ds cause I don't care if it's banned.
