Hacking Sky3DS+ and it's save files

Hello there,
I have been away from this forum for a really long while, as such I apologize in advance if this question has been asked elsewhere.

I have recently purchased a Sky3DS+ and it is working like a charm.
I noticed that it now has .sav files for every game where it presumably holds the save data for the game. Are these .sav files unencrypted and can they be tampered with anyhow?
If not could someone kindly point me to the currently best known method of editing saves when you have a Sky3DS+ and a New3DS on latest firmware?

I don't have a Sky but the saves are probably encrypted like they are on an original card (so they also depend on the header for that game, etc)

You can use your Sky to emulate Cubic Ninja and run svdt from there, but you will probably need trial and error to switch to the game you want to extract...

I already have an actual ocarina of time to run homebrew off, it's what I used mainly when editing monster hunter X data.

How would svdt handle save data access when savedata is held as a separate file over to the SD card in sky3ds+?
Dies svdt allow me to use external programs from there on such as striling to edit the savedata myself or is it only inside the 3ds navigation screen?

1- svdt, like any 3dsx homebrew, works by running modified code inside the process of a specific software (in fact certain homebrews, svdt included for obvious reasons, ask you through the launcher which process should be used), so for the console there's no difference between a 3dsx that reads an application's save and the application itself

2- yes, all 4 major save tools (svdt, save_manager, plus SaveDataFiler and JK you can't use) work with decompressed saves, which are what you want for editors!
