Hacking sistem files are corrupted (or not ?)

So, i got the "sistem files are corrupded" message after the safety screen, but the maintenance mode still works, and oddly, after I restarted the maintenance mode (without doing anything), the "sistem files are corrupted" message is gone ! I did this twice, both this i got the message, and both times it worked fine after booting the maintenance mode (the wii is softmodded, HBC, VC wads and all, but i didn't do any recent changes...)

i dont know why this happened so suddenly, and the wii still works fine, but it's still very annoying.

Also, playing in the maintenance mode has any risks ? because i could get used to use it, I barely use the board anyway.
